Blue color fringe, Tokina AT-X AF 100-300 f:4.5 not recognized
Hello, My old Tokina 100-300mm AF f: 4.5 lens has qualities, but also an annoying defect: around 300mm, photos often have fringes of color, sometimes magenta, but most often of a beautiful dark blue. .. alas not desired.
I manage, more or less, to correct the chromatic aberration in lightroom, either with the intended objective (brush) or by modifying the colors, which unfortunately plays on the whole photo, and which may be acceptable. .. or annoying. depending on the subject of the photo and other colors. Sometimes success is relative.
But on On1, which also has many qualities, I find that the chromatic aberration is not corrected at all for this objective. I find the tool ineffective. And very moderately effective with other lenses ...
In addition, neither On1 nor Lightroom recognize this lens ... Tokina AT-X AF 100-300 f: 4.5 (constant).
Do you have a solution? An advice? Can you add the objective to the recognized list? Is progress envisaged?

(Re-posted due to my response strangely disappearing since yesterday)
Bonjour,
In English:
You could try removing the fringes by using a local adjustment with a colour range mask. It is probably best to zoom at 100%, and then use the eye dropper to select the colour you want to remove. The range slider will adjust the sensitivity of the colours selected. It is possible that some areas of the photo that you do not want to be adjusted will also be selected. These can be removed from the mask by using the brush tool in paint out mode. When the mask is complete, experiment using any of the colour sliders (and maybe some of the tone sliders) to remove the fringes.
Bonne chance,
Roger

Mystery solved about my disappearing reply. This request also appears in the General Discussion forum which is where I answered it yesterday.
