Alternative management/keywording software?
After having my keywording system trashed by ON1 browse again I give up on that portion of the program. I very much like the editing half and want to keep using it but I need an alternative to the management/keywording portion. Any suggestions on a program that will give me stable keyword system for photo management while I use ON1 for edits?

iMatch, Zoner, ACDSee, PhotoMechanic, XnViewMP

I use Digikam but you have to remember to not touch the keywords in PR

Roberta the labels provided by G.Panella are the apps I was thinking of. I have been investigating iMatch and I bought ACDSee. The guy who does the tutorials and promotions for ACDSee is really easy to listen to. He doesn't fumble or um and awe <LOL!>
That tip by M.Evans ( do not touch the keywords in PR) has me wonder exactly what that means.
I think PhotoMechanic was one of the originals when keywording was just a glimmer.

There was a short discussion on the digikam users list recently when an On1 PR user was adding keywords in digikam and PR and having inter-operability issues (I can't find the link right now). I think DAM support in PR is so poor I gave up on it and now use digikam which satisfies my needs (geolocation changes, metadata changes and searching).

Thank you all for good suggestions. Difikam sounds like the ticket and I'm going to explore it a bit more. Also ACDsee looks really good too. Ha. I have exploring to do. Thanks again everyone

Another choice is Adobe Bridge. It's free but it does not use a catalog.

Can these alternative programs handle file moves and new drives and be setup to automatically drag along .xmp and .on1 files with the image file reliably?
