Canadian prices for ON1 360° - What gives!?
I am very interested in adding ON1 360° to ON1 photo raw. However the conversion into Canadian dollars leaves a LOT to desire.
For the add on package and 1 TB storage, the advertised price is around US$100. However, after ordering it comes up as ≈ Can$160 and not the $130 which should be the price by simply applying currency conversion rates.
This is unacceptable. Why should us loyal Canadians (loyal ON! subscribers) be charged so much extra. Last time I checked the cost of an electron is about the same on both sides of the border.
So, at least for now, out of principle, I will not subscribe to an overpriced option.

The current conversion is $140, not $130. Still, I agree, we get charged too much.

Maybe it is including GST+ PST.

There is likely some cross border thing as well, what's it called? Duty I think.
I don't believe billing is done by On1, so there would be a charge in there by the 3rd party for that as well.

On-line sellers are never priced with the actual conversion rate. there is always some markup. BTW, the current exchange rate from US to CAD is 1.35 so if it's marked up by 1.4 thats not bad. I just bought a new iPhone SE and Apple marked it up 1.5. But thats what it is.
