New MacBook Pro
AnsweredI have one iMac and one MacBook Air. I have ON1 installed in the Air, but no catalogues, photos or other thing. I doing all my edits and using catalogues only in my iMac. But I do like to have ON1 in the Air for playing around sometimes.
I will replace my Air with a MacBook Pro. I will have exactly same applications in the Pro as in Air, and I will continue running Mojave.
This is my question: Is it possible to setup my new Pro from my Air backup done by TimeMachine? Or will that not work for the ON1 application? Perhaps ON1 installation/setup in the Air is different from a Pro installation?
Or is it best just to install Mojavee and then install all apps one after another?
I do know that I have to unregister ON1 from the Air and then register again in the Pro.

This is something I have not done myself but I see no reason that migrating your MacBook Air to the new MacBook Pro should work.
Having said that, when I got my new MacBook Pro a couple of years ago I reinstalled everything from scratch. That prevented the migration of old, out dated preferences and settings files for programs I no longer use. It's nice to have all the cruft and detritus cleaned out once in a while. Since you don't have any of your photos on the Air this is the route I would take. Once the new Pro system is set up with all your user account info I would manually copy my user data from the Air to the Pro.

Hmm, maybe better go for a new clean installation.
Do you know if ON1 can be used on a Mac with i3 processor?
Thanks!

The specs call for Intel Core 2 Duo, Xeon or better at the minimum and an i5 or Xeon is recommended. It may run but I wouldn't expect a high level of performance.
