On1 Mobile and Oly RAW file
Hello,
unfortunately, there is no forum for the mobile version yet. That’s why I post my problem here.
When I import a RAW file from my Olympus OMD EM1X, the pictures are black. Obvisously, they are not supported. Shame on you!

EM1x is on the supported list for Photo Raw.
Why are you asking about Mobile and Olympus? Are you trying to import the RAW to your phone? What are you trying to do?

I imported an Olympus RAW file to my iPad in order to develop it with On1 Mobile. But the RAW file is not supported.

I haven't seen any of my images turn to a black preview. Is there something different between E-M1X and Pen-F ORF files?
To your issue though, I successfully imported ORF files from my Pen-F (external card reader from SD card) to my Samsung Note 10+, including accompanying JPGs... kept them as separate files, edited them and all sync'd fine to desktop and back... last night and again after an Android update this morning.
However, the app crashes on RAF files from my Fuji's and must be reset/re-installed when I try to upload both last night and after Android update this morning.
Just too many app issues.

FYI, was just contacted by support, stating to try again and they are actively working on the fixes.
Would be helpful if they reached out globally and notified folks they noted key issues and were globally working on resolving vs us guessing the behind the scenes... I provided that feedback to the team as well.... I want this to get to success quickly, as we all do.

Also RAW files from Olympus OMD-EM1 do not work. They are all black, and when I try to edit, I get the error message: „Edit failure. The current photo failed to load into edit because of failure 1002.“

Sony Alpha 6000 RAW files work. Obviously, the mobile version of ON1 can’t handle Oly RAW files.

Oops, I did not check detailed enough. Sony Alpha 6000 RAW file doesn’t work. Other than the Olympus file, it is shown correctly, but when I push the edit button, the tools are missing. This piece of software seems not to work with any RAW file.
Problem exists on iPad Pro as well as on iPhone SE.

Check if you are using a compressed or full size raw file. The full size RAF file works. The compressed RAF does not. Going to recheck on the ORF files shortly.
I believe the problem is rooted in their 360 processing, as when I upload the compressed RAF file, I see a "success" notification and then the app crashes. Also, I notice a partially sync'd blurry preview on my desktop. In looking at the log files (and I've sent them many) it seems there is a number of lines of failure on the upload and a 'deregister' message inline somewhere...then my app stops working.

Try holding your iPad in Portrait mode, seems there is a problem with the Landscape mode and On1 Mobile.

Thanks for your reply. I just realized that after closing and restarting the app, Sony RAW file works both in portrait and landscape, but Olympus still not. Hope these bugs are removed soon since the software looks really promising.

Jerome, I don’t work with 360. I imported the files via SD card directly to my iPad.

Jens, I'm doing similar with my phone. However, I'm syncing with 360 and that seems where my crash is coming from.
Are you using the mobile app as a standalone without syncing to 360?

Yes, currently I use it as standalone on my iPad. However, I also own the desktop version. If everything works well in the near future, I might try the 360 option.

Well, 360 resp. Mobile have problems with their one RAW-DNG files. They produce BLACKS (with a filename)

Wolfgang, for sure the Mobile app has major issues. I'm running a Samsung Note 10+; camera function won't work (they know of this issue and working on it).
So far, I've uploaded JPG, ORF, NEF and RAF files. I've got the checkbox off for JPG+RAW pairs and getting the files individually whrere I shot JPG+RAW, so that is nice. Compressed raw files crash the app and then I can no longer restart. This crash causes me to reinstall or reset the app, which in turn causes me to lose my local files on the phone, cloud data in 360 and I end up with duplicate mobile devices on my desktop, which I have to remove (hence losing the cloud data). On1 team is aware of this and I've sent them a ton of logs as well as picture files I'm using.
So, for me, I'm effectively beta testing for them right now and I don't trust the app for anything more.
On the positive side, when I stick to JPG and full size raw files, the syncing is bring the original files from my mobile to the cloud for both the JPGs and raws I've uploaded. Additionally, I'm getting both the JPG and raw (primarily RAF) files quickly and with previews... with a few off cases where a preview didn't build (had to delete and reload, then was ok).
For those files that went from mobile to desktop, I was easily able to take the originals, with edits made on the mobile, and copy them to a catalog folder on my desktop. Interestingly, the only strangeness here, was that every time, the crop bug hit me and I had to redo the cropping. Otherwise, all was good.
On the desktop, I was able to do the basic edits (which Mobile can take back) and get them immediately back on the phone application (layers do not carry back to Mobile, as an example).
What phone are you using? If you are uploading DNG, try a different style such as one without embedded raw or vice versa, for example and see if that makes a difference.
