There has been quite a bit of discussion on this topic elsewhere on the Forums.

Your edits may or may not have been lost. You can try moving the file to a new location and see if the program will pick them up again. Unfortunately, it seems in most cases the edits have been removed from the .on1 files and are truly gone. The only way to recover them would be from a backup made prior to their loss and it's hard to say exactly when that might have happened. It's work checking out if you have older backups.

You can have this work around!

if you rename the myfilename.ON1 to OLDmyfilename.ON1 then open up the image file for editing.

Do any edits, save the imagefile, go to another folder in ON1 browse. Then look again in the file folder and then delete the new myfilename.ON1, the rename the OLDmyfilename.ON1 to myfilename.ON1.

This should make ON1 read the original edits again, at least it did for me.

Time consuming but it will save you the time from edit the files again.

That will work only if the edits are still in the .on1 file. Hopefully that is the case for Tim.

They should be, unless he opend the image file in Edit and did some edits.

But that is the whole problem Håkan, sometimes the edits have been removed even before opening the file for further editing. I'm seeing this with images I haven't opened for more than a year and I always check the .on1 file for the edit in a text editor before I open them for editing in ON1.

Thank you!  This post validates that I’m not crazy (OK, at least in terms of my ON1 experiences).  This is very disconcerting, as I’m now waiting for more shoes to drop.  I sense this problem began with the most recent ON1 update.  I’m in the process of re-editing the photos in question.  My biggest concern right now is the ON1 gremlin disappears, leaving me with my old, unwanted edits, putting me back to square one.
