The Photo RAW program is buy it once, own it forever. ON1 Mobile is a free app for taking photos. Plus is a subscription service for training materials. ON1 360º is a separate subscription service allowing you to sync photos and edits between the computers running Photo RAW and mobile devices using ON1 Mobile. While one of the purchasing options gets you the Photo RAW program along with a 360º subscription, canceling the subscription to the cloud service will not disable the Photo RAW or ON1 Mobile programs.

As far as I know the only features the Mobile app is locked out of without the 360º service is the 360º service. None of its editing features are tied to the service. The Mobile app's editor does not support masking. It does not support any Photo RAW filters that are not yet in Mobile. You can view those files but not edit them.

Have you seen the ON1 360 Quick Start Guide? It may help answer some of your questions.

A small correction there, if you buy Photo Raw and 360 together as a subscription, then cancel, both Photo Raw and 360 will be deactivated. The only way Photo Raw is yours forever is if you buy it separately.

The mobile app on my phone currently has a brushing option with a blue dot next to it. When I tap it, it takes me to a ON1 360 subscribe page to unlock the feature.

Yes, that is completely understandable, but I don't need 360, so I will buy the software either outright or through my Plus Pro subscription. I use the Plus Pro training videos so it makes sense to pay for it.

Well, my point is that right now it appears that to get all the mobile app features (not including sync), a person will have to subscribe to 360. I would have to subscribe to things I don't need in order to access something I want in a "free" app.

Matt, can you post a screen shot showing that brushing option? Brushing in the Mobile app is not mentioned in the Quick Start Guide nor can I find any way to use it in the app and I do have a 360º account. The blue dots I see are for enabling different Fx and showing the Sync status as in progress.

These are the only limitations mentioned in the Guide:

Mobile Editing Limitations with Synced ON1 360 Photos

There are two instances where you might run into an situation where you can view, but not edit a synced file inside ON1 Photo Mobile:

    • When you’ve edited a synced ON1 360 photo with Photo RAW using any Effects filter that is not present in ON1 Photo Mobile.
    • Any .onphoto file cannot be edited in ON1 Photo Mobile. This includes HDR, panorama and focus-stacked composites, as well as layered files.

One image shows the brush icon with the blue dot and the other shows you have to subscribe to use it.

Interesting, I don't see that on my iPhone or iPad. I'll have to check for a new update or, it may be an Android feature not on the iOS app although that seems unlikely.
