Doesn't work with Apple Photos

I've never worked with a buggier product. The old version and other programs work great. Open picture in Apple Photos. Click "edit with" select On1 photo raw, make edits, select done. I expect it to save, close and return the edited photo to apple photos. Instead it does nothing but appear to freeze. I then try export and it says source needs to be selected. I've tried using technical support but who really can work this way-submit a request, four hours later get a response, it doesn't work, and I repy and four hours later I get a response that is still unhelpful. Am I missing something? This seems like very basic functionality. I have a virtually new MacBook pro with plenty of RAM and storage,

  Page 19 of the User Guide explains how to use the ON1 plug-ins with Apple Photos. Richard B. has it right.

  It is a bug in the program that support tells me that they are aware of..
