How to tell in edit view if a file has been exported

There is no feedback from Export to Browse that would mark a file like that.

You could just add a keyword like 'Exported' to the RAW once you've done that. I use a similar system with numbered keywords, so I just hit a number and that item pops up on the top of the list.

Funny, I never noticed that it doesn't display having been processed. That explains why I have doubles sometimes.

I don't want to use the metadata to record processing as I use another app for my DAM. Maybe use the heart to at least tell me it's processed. I don't use it now of anything else.

Which begs the question as to why On1 doesn't display that info. Capture One and DxO do. I think Lightroom also does.

On1 does display when photos are processed and you can use Advanced search to find those. What it doesn't display is if it was Exported or not. There is no reason for it to keep track of that because Exporting means nothing to the process since you can export as many times as you want or not at.

If you use a different DAM, then use the different DAM to add the keyword. Keep in mind that hearts and stars are also metadata.

Using keywords to keep track is just a suggestion, personally, I have an output folder that's open while I work which means that I can see instantly if it's there.

I understand your view on not noting if it's been exported and didn't know about Advanced search. I'll look into that.

My view is that, for convenience alone, the thumbnail should indicate some sort of processing status. An example may be some indication if adjustments applied and another that it's been exported without doing any searching. I still don't understand why On1 doesn't already have that feature. Seems it's be easy enough to record to xmp and read status.

I know stars are standard metadata but I think hearts are On1 specific. At least in my DAM it doesn't. Thankfully my DAM and On1 play nicely together after I convert metadata in jpg to XMP from within the DAM.

I really like On1 2021 and it's becoming my go-to app. FWIW. For my non-professional use I haven't had too many issues.  I have more significant issues with Capture One and DxO Photo Lab.

This tells you that editing was done...

And these are all of the types of editing that you can search for...

Well, don't I feel stupid. I never noticed the little icon in the corner. Sorry to have contributed such stupid opinions in this topic.

LOL, it's Ok. There are a lot of details. It takes time to discover them all.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I was aware of the little icon that tells when editing has been done. The answer then is that there is no automatic indication when a file has been exported (after processing). For me  the best option is to have an output folder open to refer to and keep track of exports.
