What does 'Done' do in the Edit screen?

What is the purpose of the 'Done' button in the Edit screen?
Hovering the cursor over it, it says Saves all Edits performed and leaves Edit. Does it actually do anything different than simply clicking straight from the Edit screen back to the Browse screen?

No, there is no difference.
The Done button is needed when the program is used as a plug-in to another software package. In that case returning to the Browser is not an option so the Done button returns to the calling program.
