On1 2021 installation problem
AnsweredWhen I installed the latest release of ON1 2021.1 (15.1.0.10100) It deleted all my external drives under Drives. I have Desktop, Recent and Photo items BUT no external hard dives which I use for storage of my images. I use a mac.

I'm confused, you say you use a Mac (which Mac? OS?) but you posted in the Windows forum. Can you clarify please? I can move the thread if needed. Also, a screen shot showing us what you're looking at would be helpful.

When I say delete, they do not show in Drive. The info is still on the external drives but I can not access them through ON1.

That's a start. 🙂 I'd like to see the Photo RAW screen too please. Also, I'm going to move this to the Mac section. Everything will track automatically.

The dive icon does not respond. The desktop as shown here and photo does. If I click the drive icon nothing happens - here I have my external drives but it does not work.

You have the left side panel hidden. Press Command-LeftArrow or click the widget at the bottom of the screen.

Don't be afraid to show the whole screen. 😉

I am seeing a whole bunch of drives there. What is it you are looking for that isn't there? Are you sure the missing drive is mounted in the Finder?

In FINDER I have the following drives - John Corby's iMac, Macintosh HD, STORE N Go, IMAGES TOSHIBA, TSB USB DRIVE, WD backup and LUMIX. Drive 'IMAGE TOSHIBA' is my external drive for my images but when I installed ON1 it was moved from Drive to Photo icon, All other external drives are gone from drive. All my drives are shown in other software ( PSE, TOPAZ and Akvis) but not ON1.

John Corby's iMac is not a hard drive. It is the icon for accessing your Mac and selecting it will show all mounted disks in the Finder window. You will not see that in ON1's list of drives because it is not a drive. Other than that I see all the drives shown in your Finder screenshot shown in the ON1 Drives panel.
I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by, "it was moved from Drive to Photo icon" in reference to the Images Toshiba drive. I do see that in ON1's list of drives.

Thanks, iMac is not a drive, but this not my problem. The above screen shot is from FINDER not ON1 and it shows the drives exist but in ON1 they do not, except for 'IMAGE TOSHIBA' - After installing ON1 it was moves to PHOTOS.

I'm well aware of the difference between a Finder screenshot and one from another program.
What is your Preferences > Default Browse Location set to?

I just checked on my system and set my Default Browse Location to point at one of my removable drives and that drive remained visible in the Local Drives list so that isn't the problem.
I still don't understand what you mean by, "After installing ON1 it was moves to PHOTOS."

Before I installed ON1 2021.1 my external dives where shown in Drive (see image below
) but after installing ON1202.1 they are not showing in Drive. The 'IMAGES TOSHIBA' drive was moved to 'PHOTOS' and all other external drives do not show anywhere on the ON1 face but they do appear with other software.

The reason it was “moved” is because that is where you’ve set your Default Browser Location. That is exactly what the program is supposed to do. Why that drive doesn’t show under the Drives button I can’t say. You’ll have to ask support. Personally I don’t see why it’s a problem since you can still access your photos with a as single button click.

Yes, I can access my "IMAGE TOSHIBA" drive where most of my images are but not my flash drives. I am waiting for support to contact me. Thanks for your help, sorry we did not get a fix.

I saw on Fb that you got it fixed. I'm sorry I didn't have you try the delete the settings option, it's normally the first thing I do.
Glad you're up and running.
