I had reason to shoot a vertical panorama: tripod leveled, camera in manual, locked focus, ~50% overlap on 9 raw captures. PR failed to merge; using another program resulted in a perfect pano. Is PR capable of merging vertical panoramas?

  Yes, PR can merge vertical panos. I’ve done it a couple of times.

  I would report this to tech support. Zip together the 9 RAW files and upload that to a file sharing service like Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google Drive, etc., then include the download link in your support request.

  What happens if you rotate all the images by 90º then do the merge? If it does the merge that way, tell support about that too then you can rotate the stitched file to return it to vertical.

  I'll open a ticket ... and yes rotating the 9 files 90 degrees resulted in a nice pano.

  Interesting, I didn't know if that would work. I'm sure the engineers will want to know about that too.

  Latest upgrade (15.1.0.10148)  remedied the vertical pano issue

  Cool, I've been finding quite a few bugs from by reported bugs list that I've been able to remove because they've been fixed.
