orphaned dot.on1 files
I have started using a different image browser for my culling.
If I cull outside of ON1 I'm left with orphan I'm of course left with orphaned ON1 dot files.
Has anyone else faced the same problem and how did you deal with it.
For future shoots I will of course cull before I open in a Raw editor but I have thousands of historic photos to cull.

Just delete the orphans. If there is no matching photo, they aren't good for anything.
One way is to arrange Windows Explorer to show each photo on a line with its sidecars. Look and see if they are in sync all the way down.
Another option is to use Photo raw to move all files from one folder to another. It will move the photo and its sidecars but will leave orphans behind. You can delete those, then move the photos back.

Thanks Rick, both your suggested methods sound like good solutions

I have the same problem on my iMac! Are you aware of any plans to search for and delete orphaned .on1 sidecar files from within the ON1 Photo Raw program?

There aren't any plans for that as far as I know.
