That video was demonstrating features being introduced in the upcoming 2021.5 update. Batch processing is not yet available.

Are you using the plug-ins for Portrait AI or Photo RAW 2021 and which version do you have? The latest version, Photo RAW 2021.1.0.10138, has improved its ability to find facial features properly.

When the program does get confused like that you just have to move the markers to the correct location.

Well I reviewed Dylans video again... it does not describing the batch processing as a coming option in 2021.5.  My version of ON1 is Photo RAW 2021.1.0.10148.   I also went back and tried to edit the same photos in a stand-alone mode... with mixed results. The photos which show the face directly head on seem to work but photos which have the face turned slightly to one side still fail.

    Which video did you watch?

The video is for the standalone ON1 Portrait AI program which already has the batch processing feature. It is a bit more advanced than what is currently in ON1 Photo RAW 2021's Portrait AI module. When 2021.5 is release late this month it will catch up with the batch feature.

It also applies only to using the Portrait AI plug-in for Lightroom.

Thanks... I was not aware there are different version of that program. I assume when I purchased raw I received the latest version of all the stand alone modules.  This answers one question but it does not answer why the version in raw does not find the facial feature correct. Also it seems to fail all the time when used as a plug-in from LR- 6.

Donald, you'll have to contact on1 support about the eyes not being found. Attach screenshots showing the problem and include the info requested here...

When the company expanded the number of programs they provide plug-ins for they decided to update just the stand-alone modules with those new plug-ins and features.

I can only guess that the AI used to find the facial features was trained with photos where the person was looking more directly at the camera. AIs fail when they are given data to evaluate that falls outside of the kind of data that was used to train the model. This translates into the more of a profile it evaluates the less likely it is to be successful in finding the features correctly.

Coincidentally, I've been working this morning on an iPhone app that uses an AI with data I trained it with. I'm adding more prediction features to it. 😀

I too found the video showing batch processing in Portrait AI/Lightroom quite interesting. Prior to PhotoRaw 2021.5 the feature did not work for me. I left a comment, but it was never addressed.  Now that I have 2021.5 installed, nothing has changed. It still does not work. When selecting multiple files in LR, then sending them to AI stand alone, the options dialog box does not appear, instead, Portrait AI opens with each image in a stack in the AI work area, but only one image shows in the right pane, and to add insult to injury, the found faces in the right pane ARE NOT the of the image on the top of the work area, but rather the bottom one, thus rendering the feature totally useless.
I did try to use the AI plugin, strangely enough, the options dialog box did appear, but nothing else was right. Would really appreciate some action on this bug.
