This is a problem that needs to be reported directly to technical support. You can use the Submit a request link below. You should attach screenshots of your screen when you get that error message.

I'll do that. (But there are no screenshots to attach -- like I said, nothing displays. The error message is from the text log file.)

Oh yeah, sorry. Include the on1.log file then.

Exactly the same issue for me too.  Clicking on 'About' menu option does nothing, so normal way to check version update installed okay isn't available.

    Log error (3 times):

    2021-04-27 9:47:51 ON1* - UpdateLayeredWindowIndirect failed for ptDst=(506, 259), size=(909x545), dirty=(909x545 0, 0) (The parameter is incorrect.)

I submitted a support request on this got a response from On1 that they now have a bug ticket on this and will fix it in a future update.

I am getting the same error, however I am using the new MacBook Pro M1 and when I click on About, it locks me out of the program.. I have no option other than to quit and relaunch.

I'm on an M1 Mac and I have other problems with the program but the About box (under the Apple menu) is not one of them. The About dialog is displayed and clicking in it dismisses normally.

Paul, you might want to give the Delete Settings button a try.

    Thanks Brian..

another problem I was having was that the ON1 plug-ins (as well as the Topaz AI plug-ins) were not showing up in Photoshop.   It seems the M1 chip optimized version of photoshop (v22.3 I believe) does not support the Intel versions of plug-ins.  The interim solution until all parties get their acts together, is to run PS in Rosetta mode.  Do a get info on the app, and select the Rosetta checkbox.

Yes, Intel code and arm64 code are not compatible so any Apple Silicon native program cannot call Intel code plug-ins or visa-versa.
