    Hi Niall,

I believe support is aware of this. There will be another update coming pretty soon.

You might want to report it to support just to be sure. How to submit a problem to ON1 Tech Support - A Step-by-step Guide

FYI, posting the log files here isn't really helpful as we are just other users like yourself and don't really know how to interpret them.

Thanks Brian. I will let Support know. Pretty bad bug to let out.  Can I rever to the last version until this is fixed? I am blocked from publishing anything, all images since have produced the same result.

You can roll back to 2021.1 if you've saved an installer for it. If not, support can give you a download link.

You might find some Catalog corruption however. When I rolled back I ran into the problem where all the sub-folders in my Catalog were being promoted to catalogs in their own right. I had to use the Reset ON1 Photo RAW 2021 option and let it rebuild my catalogs.

If you export when you are in the edit mode it should export OK.

Hakan, Unfortunately Edit mode does not avoid the issue. From discussions with ON1 Support, if you enable Watermark you get this issue. If you disable Watermark, it will work on export. They are working on a fix.

BTW - I a previous discussion on being able to disable meta data on exports, ON1 Support said that a re-write of the export dialog is planned, and the feature to disable meta data on export to be added, so this whole area is likely to be changed in a (very hopeful) a must-have feature.

Well, crap. Although I'm glad I'm not alone (misery loves company), I'm sad it's not just user error.

It looks like the engineers have got this fixed. My watermark sucks but it works for testing. :) This is from the most recent beta release.

Brian Lawson that's awesome! I assume they'll be spreading the good news soon?

I have been loathe to re-install the previous version due to the issues you mentioned with subcatalogs.

Sorry to bother you, but I don't see 2021.5 in that link. I only see 2021.1. Is there perhaps a different link? Or maybe it isn't released?

This is fixed. Just open ON1 2021 and it will prompt you to take the new update and you are good to go. Excellent turnaround by the ON1 Dev team!.

I spoke too soon. Today the 15.5.0 'fix' related on Weds is now repeatedly crash-dumping on export of an image with a watermark enabled.I logged a ticket earlier with all the logs and crash dumps. Disappointed on the level of Q/A this product feature gets. My image was a sports JPG file, with a Split Tone, Vinette and Adjustment Mask.

I had the same bug.  The latest update from two days ago to ‘fix’ this bug didn’t.  For me now PhotoRaw just crashes when exporting an image with a watermark.  They always seem to infer that I am doing something wrong, or have incorrect settings.  I’m not so happy with ON1.

Have either of you reset the program settings yet? When a program crashes it can leave it state files in a corrupt condition which only causes the program to continue to crash each time it is run.

Launch the program with a Shift key held down until you see the Delete Settings? dialog then click the Delete Settings button. This will reset all your personal preferences and program settings. You'll have to reconfigure them and possibly restart one more time.

If that does not fix the problem the next step is to use the Reset ON1 Photo RAW button. This will remove your Catalogs, Albums, Keywords, preferences, everything. It resets the program to a just installed for the first time state. It will not remove your edits as long as you've been using the sidecars. When you recreate your Catalogs the Keywords List will be rebuilt along with all the internal databases.

After the update, I tried the export and the app crashed on export.  I then reset the settings per support and the app still crashes on export.  I guess I am getting weary of resetting On1 Photo Raw.

Like Todd, I am also weary of bugs and needless resets. Again, as per support statement to me last month, saying the Export Dialog is set to be rewritten, and it looks like we are seeing bug regression and poor test coverage before releasing s/w.

I reset Photo Raw and now the export with watermark works.  I don't understand why I have to keep doing  that!  In ALL the years that I have had Lightroom, along with all the updates, I never once had to totally reset their program.  Never.  I have had to reset Photo Raw numerous times over time.  What is it that the programmers and testers are missing bugs that causes these major problems?  Are they releasing the updates too fast?

I am at a point where if I use Photo Raw it will only be as an ancillary program for special edits, not as my main working program.  I have tried over the years to move away from Lightroom and use ON1 software but all the associated  problems are keeping me in the Lightroom corner.  I probably will renew Lightroom again but will have to think very hard before I send any more money in ON1's direction.

The bugs suck, but I really like the company. I don't think any program is going to be perfect for everyone's needs. This one suits me fine.
