Rename original > what happen with the name of existing versions?
AnsweredOriginal Photo > create version = name OR+v1 etc
What's happen with the name of the version (existing version) when I change the name of the original.
Take the version the same changed name of the original?

The easiest way to find the answer to something like this is to do what I just did in order to give you an answer — try it and see what happens! 😉
The version was not renamed. I took _DSC2138.dng and created _DSC2138v1.dng. Renaming the original gave me _DNG2138 test.dng & left the version name alone.

OK Brian
I hoped that the name of the version would also change along with the original. I also established that this did not happen and just wanted to see if my assumption was correct.
So the name of the existing version does not change if one changes the name of the original. It is only a knowing that I have to take into account as I still change the name of the original too much in function of tracebility
It is not easy to change the name of the version in batch modus, you must do it one at oneOk work for me I return the name of OR
thanks

Thanks DivLem. Those are from Cedar Breaks National Monument which is basically a small version of Bryce Canyon on the opposite side of the plateau from Bryce.
I started with just the original image file and created a new version the selected both the original and version to be renamed. It worked just as expected but I think that is because I kept the original name. When I tried it again, changing the name entirely they both got renamed but the version lost the v1 portion of the name, again, as expected since it took the literal text I wrote. Now the only indicator is the Version Badge.
FYI, I keep a folder of various duplicated photos that I use just for testing stuff like this. If I screw something up so badly I can't recover I can always just trash that file entirely and move another copy into the test folder.

Thanks for the tip, I don't understand why I didn't do this before.
What I don't understand is "version badge" How do you see this? What's the different between the two photo's with the same name?
I think you use the color indication for show the version correct?

The difference between the two photos with the same name is the one on the right is the version. You can see its Version Badge in the lower right corner of the preview. It's the gray/black icon. Look at the top screenshot where you can still see the v1 in its name.
I use colors to tell me about the processing the has been done or needs to be done. I use them to identify the photos used in HDRs and panos, photos I'm still working on, and those I've finished with.
