Undo messing up complex masking in Effects - Mask module
I have been having serious problems while using masking with a Texture in the Effects module. Yesterday, I worked on two different pictures and the same thing happened.
Basically, after extensive work on the mask, using ctrl-z to undo a paint in or paint out causes the mask to be complete ruined (changed in a random way that literally ruins a hour or so of work). Then, I go to the history and try to salvage my work by finding a recent position that is usable...to no avail. Most of the history shows either the new ruined mask or no mask at all.
It seems that crtl-z is usable early in the masking process, when it is not very complex. However, at some point crtl-z becomes very destructive to the mask. I also tried a work around. I carefully avoided using crtl-z on the entire process and saved my file. Everything looked fine. I closed ON1 and reopened it and the mask on the file was again completely ruined.
Has anyone else had problems with masking on the Effects - Texture module?

I use Undo all the time in my masking and I've never had a problem like this. You should report it to tech support. How to submit a problem to ON1 Tech Support - A Step-by-step Guide

I haven’t had this problem either until I started to do masking directly in the Texture module instead of adding another masking layer manually. This is the first time I have had this problem.

Undo works for me in the effects and local tabs. Removing background on the file itself to reveal a colored background works also.

I have also noticed that undo does not seem to work reliably, especially after closing the app down.

The Undo history only lasts as long as the current editing session. Stay in the Editor and move to a new photo or return to the Browser and you loose the history for that photo. That is by design. Other than that I do not have any problems with Undo/Redo.
