We don't have enough information to go on here. A screenshot would help.

    • Are you upsizing or downsizing the photo?
    • Are you talking about the resized image preview or the preview while you are in the Resize module?

    I'm resizing for printing.

Its the preview whilst I'm in the Resize module. So I'm not sure If I should sharpen further in the resize module

Can you post a screen shot showing the Resize view and the one from the Browser so we can see the differences you are talking about. It's hard to tell if it is normal or not without being able to see it.

Haha! It came in while I was typing, thanks.

What are the Resize Settings you've chosen? Those have a definite affect on the final look of the photo. The User Guide has a good explanation (pg 185) of what each slider does and how it affects the photo. I recommend reading through that (I still have to pull it up for reference when I want to use Resize) then playing with some different settings. The Settings pane is discussed starting on page 192. In particular I would look at the Texture slider.

The image on the left is from the Browser and the right is the resized jpeg for printing

Personally, I think the one of the left is over sharpened. It looks very crunchy to my eyes. However, if that is how you want the final jpeg to look, first adjust the Texture slider to get the best texture you can, then you can always apply more sharpening as you see fit.
