Are you seeing this in the Browser or Editor? Or both?

Have you gone through the Delete Settings? procedure yet?

    Hi Brian,

I can see the thumbnails fine and for some reason NoNoise it gives me a .DNG and a .PSD for each export. I can see thumbnails for both. When I select a .DNG and click on Edit, I get that icon showing it cannot interpret the file. The only thing I can click on is Browse to return to the browser mode. If I show the film strip while in the Edit mode, I can select any .PSD and edit it fine, but get the failed icon if I click on a .DNG.

I just tried the Delete Settings procedure and that has not fixed the issue unfortunately.

Was there anything important added in the update to On1 Photo Raw, because if not I will uninstall and then reinstall the previous version which worked flawlessly?

How are you getting your files into NoNoise? It sounds like you are using the Send To… command and the program by default is exporting the .psd then NNAI is returning the .dng. That should work but it probably isn't what you want. I'm guessing you want to process the raw .cr3 file.

Try going to Preferences > Files and turning on the checkbox Show these options every time. Send another .cr3 file and return a .dng then let me know what happens.

This won't explain why you aren't able to see things as they are now but one step at a time.

Also, you can confirm the file being sent to NNAI by looking at the name shown at the top of the NNAI window.

    Hi Brian,

you won't believe this, but 2 out of 7 exported .DNG files must have been corrupted somehow. I had only opened 2 .DNG files and both failed, so I assumed they would all fail. I just opened the other 5 and they all open and edit just fine. Maybe Delete Settings did help me in some way and maybe the 2 corrupt files were corrupted opening them prior to following the Delete Settings procedure?

Either way, your help has been very useful as the options you just showed me were not set up on my system and now they are. That will help me going forwards. Thanks very much for your kind help.

Did you send them all as a batch or individually?

It would still be nice to figure out why those two failed. If you see it happen again it needs to be reported to support but for now I would write it off as a one of those things event.

I opened On1 NoNoise and clicked on the Open Photos button and chose a folder which only had 7 .CR3 files in it. I edited the first one and then clicked on Sync to apply the same settings to the rest of the images. I clicked on Done and then chose the option to export DNG files to a new folder and told it where to Export. When finished, 7 DNG files and 7 .PSD files appeared in that folder. 2 of the .DNG files do not open in On1 Photo Raw but do open in Affinity Photo. The other 5 open just fine.

I just repeated the whole process on another folder with just 4 test .CR3 files and this time it only exported 4 .DNG files and no .PSD files. The 4 .DNG files open absolutely fine. I suspect the Delete Settings action has fixed whatever the issue was.

Thanks, that makes sense. When I was first playing with NoNoise I also was getting duplicated exports. What I found was you can select one (or more) of the Presets on the left and set up a different export on the right and both of them will be done. That could be what happened to give you both the .dng and the .psd which should be identical except for the file format.

The condition you describe about 8 posts back has nothing to do with not being able to read the file. This is the same condition I've mentioned here many times. On1 just gets stuck for some reason while opening Edit and fails to complete the loading process. Browse is the only button that works. Just go back to Browse and try again, for me it always loads on the 2nd try.
