Annoying "stored editing settings from another ON1 application"

I keep getting the message "This photo has stored editing settings from another ON1 application. Those settings will not appear in On1 Photo raw 2021 but will be preserved for editing in other applications that support these settings"

Firstly it is a nuisance to keep getting this message with apparently no way to turn it off. Secondly what's the point of not having the settings available. It makes a review or changes impractical without opening another application which I assume is an earlier version of ON1 Photo Raw. Why isn't the latest version (2021.5) backwards compatible? Or have I got this all wrong?

  It's annoying because it's so badly written that no one knows what it means without referring to the above link!
