You will be required to sign in to the program to verify that you have purchased it. However, you should not be asked to sign in to the program each time you use it. For this issue, you may need to delete the ON1 settings file.

Please close the application, then while holding down the Shift key on your keyboard, proceed to relaunch the ON1 application and continue holding Shift until a pop-up window appears. From the pop-up window, first, click the Delete Settings button to reset your personal settings and restart the program. If that doesn’t fix it, try the Reset ON1 Photo RAW button to reset the program’s settings.

To ensure you are a legal owner of the software. You'll have to ask tech support for a more definitive answer, sorry.

Kahlie, I also often see a 'Checking License' message when opening Photo Raw. It doesn't mean I have to sign in again, I just have to wait a second or two for it to finish.

    None of those operations worked.
It gets frustrating as I have set up a keyboard short cut.
My wotk flow is Bridge, Photoshop and finish my images in On! and doing this twenty of so times a day is time consuming.

What exactly is happening David? Are you seeing the Checking License message or are you being asked to Sign In each time you use the program?

I'm assuming the first time you signed in you did so through use of the plug-in? What happens when you use the program as a stand-alone?

    What's your internet connection like?

There's nothing that can be done about that message. It's telling you that the program is verifying your ownership with ON1's registration servers. You just have to wait for the process to complete. A faster connection or if you have any kind of network monitoring software that blocks unwanted connections, configuring it to allow this connection to proceed, might help.

It's never happened to me with previous versions either.

I only see it about 1/2 the time when starting Photo Raw and only for a second or two.

If you're working Photo Raw as stand alone it wouldn't be an issue, but if opening often as a plugin, it might be.
