Have you noticed glitches when using layers
Hey everyone,
I really haven't used 2021 much but started something last night which required a number of layers. ON1 was working great for a while then I went to save something by using "done" and it saved it wrong. Opened up the .onphoto file and it was correct so I figured I messed up - it saved it wrong again the same way. I tried a whole new edit of it this morning and it saved the file with something else wrong. Last night I restarted the computer to clear it's cache but no luck.
I cleared the browse cache this morning and it now seems to be working OK. Is this a known bug?
It's a Windows 10 computer with an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. 32 Gb memory and an AMD RX980 graphics card with 8 Gb of memory so all should be OK as far as specs (and the graphics card software is up to date).

What do you mean by it saved "wrong"? How is it wrong. Screenshots are worth a thousand words. 😉
I sometimes see that the preview shown in the Browser doesn't match what it looked like in the Editor. The Refresh Preview command will usually will fix it but not always. In those cases I go back into the Editor and I make an adjustment that is easily removed. I try to find an unused slider, it does not matter which. I set it to an extreme setting, press G D to return to the Browser to save the edit and force a new preview to be rendered then right back into the Editor where I can double-click the slider title to reset it to 0. Back in the Browser I now have a proper preview. Only takes a second.

Also make sure your video driver is up to date...

Brian,
When I went to export a JPG it didn't export the .onphoto file correctly with the edits I did. Below is a screenshot of what I am referring to. The left JPG is an export that showed correctly in the .onphoto file and came out looking like this. The second time I edited it the dollar bills were missing, again the .onphoto showed correctly. I don't think it's a refresh preview problem but the other work around could be tried next time.

So the problem is so much what got saved but instead it is what got rendered for the export. It looks like it might have to do with the mask. Would you mind sharing your file for me to look at? I need the .onphoto file and its .on1 sidecar. Zip them together and upload to a web sharing site like Dropbox then post the download link for me.

Brian - Sorry for not responding, we went out yesterday after I started this. Thanks for the offer for looking at the problem!
I looked this morning for the file, opened every .onphoto file that was in my folder, exported a JPEG and it did not do it. I did reset the Browse cache yesterday so maybe that fixed it although ON1 did export incorrectly based on the JPEG which makes me think it was a program export glitch.
Rick - Thanks! I had done that a few days prior but did double check this morning. AMD doesn't put out as many updates as NVidia does and I was all up to date.0 -
Good to hear it sorted itself out.
