Importing from laptop
May I simply drag a folder from the ON1 cataloged folders on my laptop external drive onto my at-home iMac & Drobo (with all sidecar stuff) and let it catalog on my home setup? I think I might save time by hooking external drive direct to iMac rather than trying to import over wifi.

That's the way I would do it. Once it is set up on the Drobo and your iMac you can point your laptop to the Drobo so both systems work with the same data set. That way there won't be any syncing issues.

Thanks. When I'm away from home, I work on the laptop, editing, making my changes, keywording and such. Now, back at home, I want to add those road files to my permanent archive. So I plan to just drag the files to the Drobo cataloged folder. So, ON1 will just make previews and catalog in the background?
also--when I delete the road pics from the laptop, will it delete previews et al in catalog to save disk space on the laptop?

Hi
Ive got a similar yet slightly different question; I have the ON1 360 subscription but find it very confusing. Here is what I’m running into but don’t know how to fix it: I sometimes upload pictures from my camera to the harddisk on my mac, or to an external add or to the harddisk in my MacBook. I edit sometimes using iMac sometimes using laptop. Using ON1 360 i have photos on 3 devices but how do I centralize it to the large NAS thats connected to my iMac (Lacie 2big).

You have to copy then from whatever device they are on to the NAS.

Apologies for delayed response.
But your suggestion (which in hindsight is as logical as can be) worked wonders. Thanks
