This is something you'll have to take up with tech support Erhard.

I've submitted a ticket on this as well.

I was able to solve the problem myself.

I had previously installed older versions of ON1 Photo RAW.

Most recently ON1 Photo RAW 2021 and 2022 were on my computer at the same time.

I have now uninstalled both versions, 2021 and 2022.

Furthermore I have deleted all ON1 folders under User-AppData-Local and Roaming.

Furthermore I deleted the complete ON1 folder under ProgramData.

After that I restarted the computer and reinstalled ON Photo RAW 2021 and 2022.

Now I can also select the camera profiles with ON1 Photo RAW 2022 for my Olympus cameras.

This solves the problem for me.

Sorry, but after some work with version 2022 the problem occurs again.

I cleared my PC again and installed only version 2022. No Only-Raws allows camera profiles.

    I installed version 2021 and all Oly-Raws allows camera-profiles.

Without a doubt a problem of Version 2022!

I have submitted a ticket too. It appears for me at least, older files are okay. It is just newer files that seem to be not pulling up the profile (or AI Match either.)

Do you have the versions 2021 and 2022 on the computer? If so, do the following experiment:

    1. both programs are closed

    2. create a new folder e.g. with the name Test 2021

    3. copy any Oly-Raw into this folder

    4. open version 2021, go to folder Test 2021 and open the Test Raw -> you can select a profile with version 2021 and see both AI functions

    5. exit version 2021

    6. open version 2022, go to folder Test 2021 and open the Test Raw -> you can select a profile with version 2023 and see both AI functions

    7. create another new folder e.g. named Test 2022

    8. copy again any Oly-Raw into this folder

    9. open version 2022, go to folder Test 2022 and open the Test Raw -> in version 2022 the profiles are grayed out and you see only one AI function

    10. change e.g. the brightness a little bit

    11. quit version 2022

    12. open version 2021, go to the folder Test 2022 and open the Test Raw -> you get a warning message and you can't choose a profile even with version 2021 etc.

    Conclusion: Version 2022 is buggy

Edited images are not going to be backwards compatible. What is 2021 going to do with 2022's noise reduction information? Even if you stick with the old method the data has to account for both possibilities and 2021 won't know how to deal with it. The same goes for the new sky masking.

Yes, there are some bugs and there is an update coming with fixes. It is a .0 release after all. 😎

@Brian: of course you are right. Certain features in version 2022 are new and it's clear that version 2021 can't display them.

But if I reset all edits in version 2022, then I should be able to edit the RAW with version 2021.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Still are then with the Oly-Raws the profiles grayed out.

But clearly, that is not the goal. I just proved that version 2022 is buggy.

I want to be able to uninstall version 2021 soon and work only with 2022. But for this version 2022 must work properly. That is the important task of ON1.

Keeping in mind your other points, I wonder if Reset is still leaving some kind of version stamp while removing all the editing data. I'll bet trashing the .on1 sidecar would clear that issue.

I'm guessing that there will be an update sometime this month. The company has announced that 2021 will be updated to support Apple Silicon along with the release of the 2022 version of the plug-ins and those are supposed to be out soon.

No, I have not found a way to completely reset the edit with version 2022. Deleting the ON1 sidecar does not help either.
Only a new copy of the raw in another directory can be fully edited with version 2021.
This seems to be a database problem. Version 2022 seems to leave traces in the 2021 database.

Version 2022 seems to leave traces in the 2021 database.

I don't see how; they do not share any data folders. If you delete all the 2021 folders from your system and they were sharing something at least one of those folders would be recreated. 2021 obviously cannot know anything about 2022 without a time machine. 😉

There is one folder with 2021 in its name that will be recreated if it gets deleted but it is inside a 2022 folder.

This is a weird one. Have you reported it to support?

Received a response today to my support ticket that it was an open bug that was slated to be fixed in their next patch release.

Today I got the update to 2022 (16.0.1.11212) on Windows.

The problem with the Olympus camera profiles is solved.

@ON1: fast and quickly solved. Great!

I never had the Oly Camera Profiles in any version and I'm running the latest 16.0.1.11212 and still no profiles.

You'll have to ask tech support about it Alec.

From what i can see in other posts about Olympus, Tech Support already know !

Then we have to wait for the engineers to come up with a fix. Letting them know that you are having the problem too, tells them more and more people are seeing this issue which should raise its priority for getting fixed.

Alec, you'll also want to make sure your camera is tier 1 on the attached list. If it's not, you won't get those profiles.
