can one deselect a local drive(s)?

I have several external local drives connected to my iMac. When I open on1 2022, all my external drives show up in the pane, and previews are generated for each local drive. Can I "deselect" a local drive or exclude it by filter somehow.  I can eject the drive but then its not available for other applications unless I reconnect it.

  No, that isn't possible. Previews will not be generated just because the drive is mounted. You have to browse to a folder before its contents will be examined and preview generates. They also get created when you Catalog a folder. If you don't Catalog anything on the drive, or look at its contents in the Browser it will be ignored.
