I can access On1 camera profiles now, but I never saw this problem before...

I've been reporting that for a while now for my older Canon 10D photos.

Just sent in to Stevie another example comparing what PR 2022 is reporting for EXIF fields vs what Photo Mechanic shows.   Not sure how anyone in their Dev group does not understand that the reading/parsing of some of the raw files is not working correctly.   I feel sorry for the Quality Assurance officer.

    This is getting old....very fast.

Brian, I never saw that problem till today. Stevie just asked for the file that causes it.

Just told that "apparently" there is a problem with parsing ORF EXIF fields.  Seriously?   Isn't what I reported and proved the day of launch?   I guess I am to feel better now as it is officially logged with the Dev team.

It isn't just ORF files. I see it with my older Canon 10D files too but not anything newer than that.

    Great answers

I can rename files taken with EM5 and EM5mk2 using serial number but not EM1Mk2. I think in previous release that none of my files could read serial number as renaming option.

I used EM-1, EM-1 II, and now EM-1 III for the past 5 years.   LrC, Capture One Pro, and Photo Mechanic all could easily read, show, and use the EXIF field for camera body serial number to do naming/renaming image files.   Photo Raw is the only editor I have found that has not read/parsed the EXIF fields correctly.

    Hi,

I am also shooting Olympus and my files are being read correctly. Exposure is correct in my files.

I have never had a problem with the Exposure EXIF field.   But then again, I have never used it to name a destination folder or rename an image file.

There are two problems in ORF handling.   First that the 21 supported EXIF fields that are supposed to be supported are not all displayed in Browse Info EXIF.    So we do not know for sure which of the 21 fields that are being being correctly read.   The way to solve that is display all 21 fields so everyone can see what has been parsed/read.

Second is that we know for sure that Browse is NOT reading the camera body serial number EXIF field.   That is the one I want to use for renaming image files.   That works just fine in competing products such as Lightroom Classic, Capture One Pro, and Photo Mechanic.   Suppport says that the Development department acknowledges that problem.   What we don't know is when, if ever, they will fix it.
