I was working on a big project and using 2021 when I got the email indicating all the plugins were now available for 2022. When I went to download them all, I noticed that there was an update to 2022. Since I had not yet installed the new version I just went ahead downloaded and installed the updated 2022 as my first install of the application. Once installed and activated, I tried to start using it. The first few photos I edited were fine although I noticed that when I went to crop after the cropping in the first photo it took longer than normal to bring up the crop function. Once up I cropped and moved onto the next photo and it kept taking longer and longer for the crop feature to become available to use. Every part of the program that I was using was taking longer and longer as well. Exporting edited photos were very slow. After working with about 10 images I timed how long it took the crop function to appear to be able to crop and it was over 2 minutes. At that point I went back to my 2021 version and it is working fine. I used it to finish up my project. My hardware is the same hardware that runs 2021 fine as is the OS. I don't know why 2021 runs fine and 2022 has this issue. I have not tried to install any of the plugins that came with the new version yet. I'm afraid to. Restarting the application does not seem to fix the issue and actually is picking up with the slowness encountered each time I try. I even rebooted to no avail. Currently 2021 or 2020 are my only options.
Any ideas what is happening? Do I need to uninstall and start from scratch installing the first version of 2022 and then updating to the new update? I am continuing to use 2021 since 2022 is unusable in its current form.
