Add Layer - default tool
If I add a layer the tool immediately defaults to View/Zoom.
Personally I would prefer the default to be the Transform tool, which I think is of more general use.
There is a post back in 2018 about this that suggests that it was resolved then - but it doesn't seem to be.
Am I alone with this issue?

I don't believe there is you probably know this but just pressing V on the keyboard will take you to Transform.

Thank you - I didn't know about pressing V. It wil probably l be a long time before I learn all the ins-and-outs.

Andrew, you are very welcome. The last page of the user guide has a table of shortcut keys. It's very helpful to just print that page and have it handy until you get them memorized. You can also define your own keyboard shortcuts if you would like.
