Nonoise Workflow with HDR or Pano
I know this question was asked in the plus forums, but I did not see a definitive answer from ON1. Should I expect better results running NoNoise on individual photos to be merged or on the output image? I understand that NoNoise AI gets better results by using the mosaic information in the raw files...is this preserved after merging photos...I would presume it is if the output is DNG, but is this true of other formats as well (not including jpg)?

If you are working in Photo RAW the program should be creating .onphoto files which retain the raw data. Only the DNG and .onphoto files retain the raw data. All other file formats are pixel images so the noise reduction will not be as effective.
My workflow is to merge the photos first then apply NoNoise.

I tend to apply NoNoise just one of the raw files in a sequence. Then I select the other raw files via Browse and Synch the develop settings. After which I combine the selected raw files into either a Pano, or a HDR.
Is there anything wrong with this approach to workflow?

I don't know, I haven't compared one method to the other. My thinking for the method I use is the noise removal could affect the pixels that are evaluated for merging for either panos or HDR; the noise removal could be different between the frames. I would expect it to change for the different HDR frames if left on Auto.
It could be that it doesn't matter either way. I'll have to do some testing.
