    No, it can't be frozen by any method other than exporting. Because Photo RAW is non-destructive every time you open the file in the editor the RAW data must be demosaiced all over again before the edits can be applied. Because NoNoise is applied during the demoniac process it has be done all over again too.

    Does this mean that I need to export the photo while in Edit in order for the denoise photo to be included in the exported jpg?

    No, Browse may not show the De-noised image as you see it in Edit but the setting is still applied. When exporting, weather from Browse or Edit, all of the edits you made will be included.

    As a practical matter I will save time by exporting from Edit after running nonoise. If I wait and export from browse it will take much longer because the nonoise operation will have to run during export. In other words, since it takes about 90 seconds on my machine for nonoise to run, exporting from Edit will go rather quickly, while exporting from Browse will take at least 90 seconds longer. (I hope that makes sense.)
