renaming question

My file structure is Photo>Year> Event

Generally my event folder is year-event and I rename the files year-event-#. This allows me to quickly identify a folder.

In the last couple of years I have gotten sloppy and not renamed. I have lots of on1 edits with exif and sidecar files. 

If I rename now using the On1 rename function, will all of the files be properly renamed. ie will the editing sidecars and exif files still match my original file ?

  When you rename a photo within the program, it will also rename the sidecar files to keep everything in sync.
