Maybe (probably) I am missing something, but has the zoom behaviour changed lately? If you open an image in browse you see the whole image. Previously if I wanted to zoom in at 100% to part of the image, I placed the magnifying glass there, clicked and the image zoomed to that position. Now, with the latest release, it doesn’t matter where you place the cursor, clicking always zooms to the centre of the image.

  Try deleting your settings. Zoom is working for me the way it always has.
