All you need to do is install On1 on your Mac and sign in with your On1 user ID and password when prompted when you first run the application.

Your license is not tied to any one OS. You can use the software on two computers regardless of OS.

How do you plan on managing your photo library? Do you want both machines to share the same library or will each have its own copy where you'd have to migrate new edits from the editing machine to the other? If you put the library on a shared drive then the new Mac will see the edits you've already made. All you'll have to do is recreate your Catalogs and Albums and give the program time to get the Catalogs rebuilt.

Very glad to hear that the license is not tied to OS. Thanks guys.....
I just found out how to do this. Logged in to my account on the On1 Web site and downloaded the Mac version.
    Thanks again.....

    It's me again.

I tried installing On1 Photo Raw 2019 on my new M1 Mac mini and I was unsuccessful. During the installation, I got an error. I tried a second time and same result,

Is this 2019 version compatible with my M1 Mac? If not I will have to buy a new version.

    Thanks

These are the 2019.7 system requirements found in this article...

From what I can see, M1 compatibility was added in late 2021.

You'll have to download and install Rosetta 2 in order to run the 2019 version of the program on your M1 system. The last update to 2021 and all of the 2022 releases are Apple Silicon native code.

Well I did install Rosetta 2 (even 2 times) and I tried to reinstall ON1 Photo Raw 2019 (2 times), but I still got an error during the installation process.

I am running out of ideas. Anything else I should try?

Knowing what error you got would be quite helpful.

This is the screen I get. No type of error is specified.

You're going to have to talk with tech support then but my bet is they are going to tell you it just isn't compatible with the new OS and you'll have to upgrade to 2022 to get the program to run on your M1 system.

    Submit a request

There are plenty of other reasons to upgrade too. New features and bug fixes and speed improvements jump to mind.

I have submitted a request. We will see what they have to say and I will keep you posted.

Just got an answer to my request. Unfortunately the 2019 version is not compatible with an M1 Mac mini.

Here is the copy of the e-mail sent to me by On1 with a 30% coupon for the 2022 version which I will purchase.

Thanks for your help and very fast answer.

    Cheers....
