Batch Monochrome
I took over 200 Raw shots today on my Pentax K1 using the B&W custom image style. On viewing or importing them later in ON1 Photo RAW 2022 the thumbnails initially show in beautiful monochrome as intended, but all eventually jump to colour, despite Preview Quality being set to Fast. The ON1 User Guide indicates that "Fast" should make ON1 use the embedded jpegs, which are B&W, but this is clearly not correct.
So, a few questions:
1) Is there any way to force ON1 to display the embedded jpegs faithfully, even if monochrome?
2) If I edit one of these files in ON1 and use the AI Match button, it does a reasonable but not perfect job of matching the embedded jpeg using the tone and colour sliders alone (sometimes, saturation is not set fully to zero, so there is some residual colour). Is there a way to do this across all photos at once, and make it fully monochrome?
3) Is it better to use the Black & White filter in Effects rather than the Tone & Color panel in Develop to do a batch monochrome edit? This question relates to both quality and convenience. Would you recommend the Neutral option within the Black & White filter as a good all-purpose selection?
Thanks for any suggestions.

1) No. Once PR renders its own preview that's what get used.
2) Not directly. You can edit one photo then Sync those settings to all the rest.
3) Yes, you have controls for each of the colors so you can fine tune the tone better. I sometimes use the Black & White filter with the Blending Mode set to Luminosity so it remains a color image but I have those color slider for fine tuning things. I'm not familiar enough with the different settings to recommend Neutral vs another of the settings. I suggest you try different settings and find the one you like.
