Linear Camera Profiles
AnsweredHi, In Lightroom you can create your own LINEAR camera profile and I no in On1 you can create profiles with the colourchecker passport but can you create your own LINEAR camera profile for your camera/s?
By default in On1, Lightroom or most any other application for image editing except I believe (Raw Therapee) a colour profile is automatically added i.e. sharpening, contrast and some other slices to make an image look a little better when you open it up.
If you can add your own LINEAR profile specific to your camera/s it allows you to start with nothing added.
Thank You, Russ.

Photo RAW has a Linear RAW profile. It's at the bottom of the Camera Profiles list.
Any profile you choose other than Linear RAW is simply a LUT which is applied to the Linear RAW version of the image before any other editing you choose to do. It's very near the base of the processing stack. Choosing Linear RAW tells the program to not use any of the Camera Profile LUTs and to display the straight demosaiced raw data.
