ON Photo RAW 2022 Select a path?
Hello. Can I freely configure the path of the ON1 Photo Raw 2022 catalog (with everything that goes with it, e.g. the storage location for the previews)? So not on drive "C" but a drive of my choice.

There are only a couple of options, during install you get the option of changing the install location...
and the program data location.
After install, you have the option to change the scratch and cache locations in the preferences.

I would like to give the folder with the previews a new location, as this will bring my drive "C" to the limits of the capacity. So I have to move to browse cache and then the entire folder incl. Unteremner (approx .7) to a new location. Is that right? What I do not understand is: my cache is set to 5000 MB. However, the WatchedContent folder is already over 57GB.

The cache size that you set was for RAM not drive space. If you're running out of room, you can move it as mentioned above. Also, this article might answer some questions...

The size slider controls just the size of a cache the program uses for displaying previews of the currently browsed location.
The PerfectBrowseCache holds the previews for everything you've ever looked at and will grow without limit according to the number of photos in your library.
I'm not sure exactly what goes into the Watched Content folder or how its size is managed.
The Catalogs and Caches - ON1 Photo RAW 2022 & ON1 PHOTO RAW 2021 article in the Knowledge Base will help you better understand the differences between the different types of caches the program uses.

Be careful with changing the default values in the installer. During installs in the past, I have changed the location of "Factory Extras". (I don't understand why that goes into an unrelated folder, and not with the actual program files.) When installing patches or new new versions, the installer forgets the previous location that I entered, and sets the location back to the default.
I've reported this to support several times over the past 4 years, but have not gotten any helpful feedback as to why the installer doesn't use the previous settings, or why separate folders are used in the first place.

Factory Extras, is used for application data that is not user-specific. On Windows the default is ProgramData which is a part of the install process for applications.
And I suspect that the reason we cannot have the previous install location when updating is because, on windows, they don’t use the registry.
