Printing Workflow
With the announcement of AI Resize, I got to thinking about my printing workflow. Currently I go to the print module, select the paper size for my photo then print it. In the AI Resize video Dan talks about resizing photos, then printing them. Is there a difference? Does/will the print module internally use AI Resize to change the image size before sending it to the printer?
I'm a bit confused.....thanks....Brian

I've only seen what you've seen so I don't know if or how AI Resize could integrated into the Print module.
Currently, when resizing from Print the program uses Genuine Fractals at default settings. You have little control over the resize settings. Using the Resizing module gives you full access to the resize settings. You can Print from there without having to save the resized file but you'd have to resize it everytime you want to print it.
Another factor is that the videos have been demonstrating the stand alone version. We haven't see it inside Photo RAW yet.

thank you Brian. I also wonder if the AI Resize will be able to apply all edits including crop before doing its thing. I recently discovered when adding a layer, that edits made to the image are applied before adding the layer, except for crop...so I have to export then add the layer using the exported version.

I have to assume it will once it has been implemented into the program. If you have just the plug-in then a Send To or applying it via the Layers menu in the Editor will definitely incorporate your edits.
