    I found that right from the start, in my case with images of Holy Week processions with black garbs. They looked splotchy. I found that Topaz DeNoise ASI generally did a better job, and DxO PureRaw mostly even better. You can get fully functional trial versions of both to see how they compare on your images.

    I don't know if any changes have been made to the NoNoise engine lately; the mods may know.

    I also found that with many images with deep shadows they come out red if you don't crank down the colour noise slider.

    If you're having a new problem that wasn't there before, try deleting the settings file and see if it helps.
