On1 2022 to Topaz Denoise AI or Sharpen AI
AnsweredHi, Trying to send an image with the On1 2022 Linear profile to Topaz products from On1 2022, On1 sends as a PSD file but Topaz does not support these files it will work with many RAW files so is there a way send as a Linear RAW file?
Thankyou, Russ.

While you can send a RAW file you can't send a RAW file with any kind of settings applied to it. By definition, a RAW file is just that, the original untouched file direct from the camera.
If you want to apply a profile to the RAW, it will need to be embedded in the file that gets sent to Topaz. You can't embed in a RAW file so that means PSD or TIFF.

Not really a direct answer >>> I find that using Topaz Denoise AI as a stand alone opens my raw files just fine and subsequently saves the editied version as a dng which works perfectly in On1

OK does that include a camera profile made with X-Rite please?
Thank You.

Yes, that includes any Camera Profiles.
Rather than using the Send To… command you can place the Topaz plug-ins into Photo RAW's PhotoshopPlugins folder and call it with the Layer > Filters > Topaz Denoise AI… command. This will send your file with any editing you've done to it to Denoise and returns the denoised image as a new Layer. This creates an .onphoto file so you can continue processing the raw file directly.

OK, again many thanks will try that see how I get on. Russ.

Alternatively, you can skip Topaz altogether and use Photo RAW's NoNoise AI feature.

Thankyou, I have tried your suggestion and it does what I want it to do.
I do use both Topaz and On1 denoise options but find they almost always give slightly different results I also use Topaz Sharpen AI on my small bird images as they never sit still.
