On1 Resize 2022 double start?
I just bought One1 Resize 2022. Two issues with it, though:
1) It integrates with Photoshop 2022 nicely, but not in Filter, but under an obscure 'Automate' heading.
2) When I start Photoshop, and the One1 Resize 2022 filter, it also apparently opens a standalone version of One1 Resize 2022 (next to the program called by Photoshop). What is with the double start?

That is how the program works.
You call the Resize AI program via Photoshop's Automate command.
The Photoshop plug-in calls ON1's Resize AI program. When you click the Done button after setting up the resize, the resized image is sent back to Ps.
See page 7 in the User Guide for more information.

Thanks for the reply. I understood that it calls the program. But, like I said, it seems to open a SECOND, standalone version of the program (that persists even after Photoshop has closed), It is ON1's Resize AI 2022, showing some sort of 'Browse files' button. And it needs to be closed too, after Photoshop.
Needless to say, I don't need to start a standalone version started as well, when ON1's Resize AI is already opened and closed from within Photoshop.

You're saying there are 2 copies of Resize AI 2022 running simultaneously? I'd like to see a screenshot showing both windows open at the same time.
The stand alone version is the only way to get the resizing done. The Photoshop plug-in does not contain the resize code itself. All it does is call the stand alone program and handle the passing back and forth of the image. Clicking the Done button is most likely just leaving the program open when the resized image is sent back to Ps. I don't own Ps so I cannot test this, sorry.
I suggest checking some YouTube videos showing Resize AI being used as a Photoshop plug-in. The presenter may have some commentary about it or you might be able to see whether the program is being exited or not from their screen. Unfortunately, all I've seen to this point are presenters using it with Lightroom which does work differently than Ps. You could also ask Tech Support about it with the Submit a request link at the top and bottom of this page.

This is the screen that gets opened in the background. The standalone version stays open, even after Photoshop closed:

And that comes from only 1 copy of the program being run. This is expected as it is how the program works.
If there are in fact 2 copies being run you should be able to size that window down to show both copies at the same time. I doubt that is happening but I've been wrong before. ;)

Mark,
1 Photoshop Filters can’t change the size of an image, if there is an image size change it has to be done via Automate, Gigappixel is the same. So Photoshop issue not Resize AI
2 In the plugins section of Preferences there is a check box controlling whether or not Resize AI is left open after being called from external editor such as Photoshop.

Thanks, David. I hadn't seen that before.
Mark, by default that option is turned on. This is the Preferences inside ON1 Resize AI 2022.

Thanks, David. Didn't know of that checkbox. :)

Having given that checkbox as the solution I have just tried unchecking it and Resize AI remains open :-(.
I have sent in a bug report on this.
