workflow with images stored in Apple Photos

Actually, the company does sell plug-ins that work directly with Apple Photos.

Because Photo RAW cannot see inside the Apple Photos Library you will have to export your photos from Photos to a location where they can be seen. The edits made in Photo RAW will not be visible in Apple Photos unless you export the edited photo then import that back into Apple Photos.

Thanks for the reply. With previous versions of On1 Raw I was able to go from image in Apple Photos through extensions directly to On 1 but can't do this with Raw 2020. Where would I need to export the image from Photos To be seen by Raw 2020 & what plug-ins would I need to buy to work directly with Apple Photos?

Yes, with previous versions you could use Photo RAW directly as a plug-in. That changed a while ago and the plug-ins are now sold as separate programs.

You can export your photos from Apple Photos to anywhere you like. Inside your Pictures folder would be a good place for them.

As for which plug-ins to purchase, I can't answer that. Each of the different modules within Photo RAW are sold as separate stand-alone apps and plug-ins. You can purchase or subscribe to the entire package or purchase just the individual modules you use. The subscription includes free updates. If you purchase them outright you will have to purchase the major Upgrades each year to keep current.
