What are your system specs? Which model Mac are you running, how much RAM does it have, and which OS version do you use?

I can't say why it's crashing, but if you go back to Browse before you Export, all of your work will be saved even if Export crashes. You can restart Photo Raw and try again without losing your work.

With me resize AI crashes all the time, exporting images is impossible, PR runs forever. It‘s resignating that even the basic functions don‘t work.

Guys, we need more information than simply that the program is crashing if you want us to be able to help. Resize AI has higher system requirements than Photo RAW so we need to start there. We need to know

    • Which OS are you running?
    • What are your system specs — how much RAM, what kind of video card, how much VRAM?

I made a mistake in my first comment. I am not using resize and not resize AI. I use it because since two weeks ago I am no longer able to export. Pressing ready after resizing stores a TIFF file in the desired dimensions and size. This works good for me, as long as I am not resizing onphoto files, then the program crashes.

You still have not provided the information about your system that I need to proceed. I can tell you to try Delete Settings, that may help.

    Sorry for my late reaction.

I tried Delere Settings immediately but that doesn‘t help.

I work with a M1 computer, 16 gb ram with the latest latest MacOs. 4 gb Vram.

80 gb free space on the internal drive and 200 gb on my external drive, no system caches moved.

Have you tried the Reset ON1 Resize AI option yet? That is the next step. If that doesn't solve the problem I'll have to refer you to Technical Support. I run an M1 Mini myself and I have not had any problems with it so far.

FYI, you do not have 4GB of VRAM. The M1 chips use an integrated memory model. Both the CPU and the GPU share the same memory. This is one of the reasons they are so fast processing graphics information. That data does not have to be shuttled into VRAM before it can be processed then shuttled back to regular RAM. Both processors access the graphics data from the same memory space. 😀

Your video card is at least 6 years old and most likely is underpowered for handling Resize AI's needs. You might want to consider an upgrade.
