There are already a few posts about this. If you copy your description and put it into the search, you'll find more of them.

Here is the first one on the list.

Thanks Brian, I am on OS Monterey and I do not see Frameworks in the recommended list of items to delete. View/library/ ..does that mean I just continue on and ignore that step? thanks again.

The instructions in the link Rick provided are a bit dated being as they were written for Catalina. You shouldn't need to delete the program and reinstall it although that could fix the problem which at this point I think has to do with the permissions the program is lacking in the System Preferences > Security & Privacy panel. Most likely the program doesn't have permissions to access those external drives and all that is needed is to give them that permission. Reinstalling the software would take care of that.

Let me know if you're still having problems or not and if so I'll walk you through what's needed.

Thanks Brian, I noticed the Catalina instructs & I have Monterey. (head scratching). With this new computer, when I go to system prefs>security...Filevault is on, Firewall was off but. I turned it on, and Privacy has a list in the left column, but I don't see anything about external drives? thanks for verifying that the previous instructs were dated as I suspected. e

You need to give Photo RAW permissions in Full Disk Access and Files and Folders.

Unlock the preferences panel, select each of those options in turn from the list on the left then click the + button and add Photo RAW to their lists.

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how are you finding the M1 Max Studio?  I'm thinking of upgrading from a 2018 mini that I use mostly for photo work (ON1 only), but the cost is a little daunting

    Thanks

    Hi David,

I absolutely love it. works great. I upgraded from my 2015 iMac to this M1 Max Studio, 64ram -2Tb. No regrets. programs getting larger so, my iMac was a bit sluggish. I bit the bullet-yeah pricey but I am one happy guy now. and I only use ON1 as well. Good luck on your purchase, I think you will be quite happy.

I'm working on a windows desktop that was just updated and I have a "backed up folder" on my 6T drive that I'm now using that is not recognized by ON1 but other folders are available? I can't find the security "access all files" dialog box and the machine is set up as a Windows 10 machine...can you offer any suggestions....thanks

If you're saying that it's just the "backed up folder" that can't be accessed but the rest of the drive can be, then my first guess is that the backups are either encrypted or compressed. What do the Properties for that folder look like?

Do you see anything here? ...

I changed the "read only" off the folder, did not help and I uninstalled the program, rebooted, and then re-installed the program and all is well. I don't know why it came back but it's now functioning the way it always did before. Thank you for your assistance with this problem....Mike
