ON1 Photo Raw 2022 editing photos on external SSD?

I use ON1 PR2022 on my MacBook Pro to edit images stored on external SSD.  How do I or can I edit files directly on the external drive from my iPad Pro?  No internet service will be available.  My intention/hope is to use the iPad as a backup editor in case my laptop is damaged.

  You cannot do that. You'd have to use the Mobile app for that and it works only with images that have been taken with the app or imported to its internal space.

  Can I use the Mobile app to view, cull and edit the 1000's of RAW files taken on an expedition and loaded on an SSD card without importing them into the iPad?  Again, no internet service will be available.

  No, once again, the mobile app only works with photos it has in its internal storage space. You would have to import all those photos to the apps space before they could be seen.
