Should I Upgrade Graphic Card?
On my system the new Resize AI often will not load images, just hangs up saying it's not responding. I have an Acer TC-885 desktop with 16GB Ram that came with a Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphic card.
Would my performance improve greatly if I upgrade to a NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 with 2GB memory graphics card?

The UHD 360 is an integrated GPU, it is built into the CPU. Yes, adding a dedicated graphics card will help but I would go with more than 2GB if possible. I would also recommend getting something with more punch than the GT 730. I've seen performance reports that say the UHD 360 performs better. That's an 8 year old GPU.

The new Resize AI is very GPU intensive and you'll want the best you can afford.

I would shop for a card with at least 4gb vram. In your case be careful when purchasing a video card, some need a 6 or 8 pin supplemental power cable connected and I don't think the power supply on your machine has one. I'm pretty sure most cards in the 4gb class vram do not need supplemental power.

Thanks, David. I'll keep this information in mind as I try to find an upgrade.

Norm, I did some testing and posted it in the group. At the time, I had a mid-range CPU and a mid-range video card. I recently upgraded to a very high processor speed CPU, and what I see is the resize speed seems to depend totally on the video card GPU. The video card I have was around $400 a few years ago, and I would suggest whatever you get to be sure there is a return policy if the speed of the GPU doesn't meet your expectations. The resize AI does a wonderful job but it does take a great deal of GPU processing time from what I see.
