How to use Keywords formerly used in Lightroom? Search Problem.
I am testing ON1 and have migrated my photos from Lightroom. I have lots of keywords but struggle to access photos linkes to keywords. E.g. for one keyword there are more then 2000 photos but the respective ON1 "Smart Album" shows only 100 even though the filter rule says "Search All Photos", Match "Any of the following rules" and the rule is "Keywords contains <KEYWORD>"
Also I wonder how to view ALL PHOTOS together - not just one Folder or Album.

According to user guide On1 needs to know about photos before they can be searched as All Photos. It knows about photos if one or more of
- folder has been catalogued
- folder is favourite
- photo has been browsed in On1
If you don't want to catalogue all your folders try making all the top level folders containing the images you have migrated from Lightroom Favorites and see if that helps.
I can't test this as all my folders have been catalogued and a search such as the one you mentioned work for me.

Actually, your photos need to be cataloged in order to show subfolders or to search all photos.
Cataloged folders are described on page 30 of the user guide.

I have just tested and Rick is right folders do need to be catalogued for All Photos search.
The user guide must be wrong as it says on Page 48
"Source: This section instructs Photo RAW where to search.
The Source pop-up menu lets you choose between the
photos in the current view; cataloged folders (all, or a specific
folder): all photos that Photo RAW knows about (cataloged,
favorites, and any images you’ve viewed in Browse); and any
photos synced with Cloud Sync. When you have Current
Photos selected as a source, you’ll see a Lock icon on the right side of the Source pane. Clicking the lock ‘on’ will keep using the search criteria as you move from folder to folder."I will submit a bug report after I have finished testing some other things.

I wasn't aware that the Guide said that. That description is new and not in the 2021 Guide.
Maybe On1 is changing something, but I don't believe a search will ever work outside of the current folder without a catalog.

It's my understanding that the All Photos option will search through all the folders you have browsed at one time or another. The key is that you must open each and every one of them. As Rick said, you have to be viewing a Cataloged folder in order to use the Show Subfolder Contents option. This is one of the reasons I have my entire Pictures folder in a single Catalog.

What Brian says matches with User Guide but I did try a test by browsing a folder of odd photos that I had around which is not catalogued, and then assigning a test keyword to these photos. Searching All Photos for this keyword did not find these photos.
All my normal photo folders are catalogued so I don't normally have any searching problems.
It was just a quick test so I might have missed something. I will have another go at some point but I am a bit tied up with some other testing at the moment.

Thanks for testing that David.

Thank you for all your thoughts and for taking time. I still don't get this.
For the transition to ON1 I have from the beginning created a folder Lightroom_Pictures with many subfolders which contain all my photos. This structure is in ON1 listed under "Cataloged Folders". So, all the content is cataloged, right? This has all been transferred with the ON1 migration plugin within Lightroom.
But when I now search for a keyword (with Advanced Search), setting Source to "Look in Search Lightroom_Pictures" only 1423 matches appear instead of 5000-6000 in Lightroom and for another keyword only 31 appear instead of more than 1500 in Lightroom.
I have the impression that some metadata (most importantly ratings and keywords) have just not been migrated. This could be the reason for the issue. Any thoughts on this?
I wonder how I can get an overview in ON1 if the search results seem to be so erratic. What is it what I don't understand?

Is it possible that the results you see in Lightroom are not limited to just your Lightroom_Pictures folder and is instead giving you the results from your entire library? How many images are inside that folder and its sub-folders?
The way to know if the migration process missed any of your keywords is to find an image in that folder in both programs where Lightroom is showing keywords that Photo RAW does not.

As a matter of fact also in Lightroom the entire library is within the Lightroom_Pictures folder. There it (nearly) nothing stored somewhere else.

Maybe a couple of screenshots showing us how you are setting up the search in both programs might help.
It makes no sense that the migration process would randomly pick some keywords to move across while skipping others.

Yes, good idea. Here a screenshot with Lightroom on the left and ON1 on the right. Both looking at the Folder Lightroom_Pictures on the external drive, which contains 23579 pictures (Lightroom additionally manages 584 pictures on Macintosh HD). Both Apps having the job to search for the keyword 'Lars' with Lightroom claiming a number of 5784 pictures and ON1 just 2570. This is the same when searching "Cataloged Folders" instead of "All Photos". With some other keywords there is no issue but it seems the larger the number of pictures affected the larger the deviation.

How many photos does Photo RAW show you when you turn on the Show Subfolder Contents option for the Lightroom_Pictures folder? Is it possible some of the photos were not migrated? That would reduce the number of photos found with that keyword.
Also, just to double-check (it shouldn't make a difference but who knows?) if instead of searching Everything contains, search just Keywords field?

Ok I just tried this. Yes, there is indeed a difference when searching Everything I get 2570 hits and with searching Keywords it's just 1522 hits. At the same time I can not remember having ever used something else with Lightroom than Keywords (for Pictures in various folders).
Turning on Show Subfolder Contents does not change the search result.
I also just tried searching for Everything containing nothing (empty field) in All Photos. In that case Photo Raw reports 35803 hits, more pictures than Lightroom sees. Checking this, I see that there are images included which I never imported into Lightroom but which are for instance located in my download folder - and also the scrrensho I posted above is included even though I did not put it in Photo Raw. But even when limiting the search to Cataloged Folders, the result is 35803. So, has Photo Raw (or the migration plugin) cataloged any image file on my computer? Limiting search to Lightroom_Pictures I come down to 29368 Photos which is pretty close to what Lightroom reports.0
