How to get the preview images back of the standard presets after the recent update?

  If you are not seeing them in the Presets column, a screenshot showing us what you are seeing would be helpful.

  Those are all folders and they do not have previews. You have to select one to see its contents then you’ll see the preview for those contents.

  OK , but previously , I saw a standard thumbnail image for each "group" of presets

  Try this, Set Preset Browser to Thumbnail.
