Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy. Check both the Full Disk Access and Files and Folders for an entry in each for ON1 Photo RAW 2022. If it is missing from either of them click the Lock icon and enter your system password then click the + button to add it to them.

If Photo RAW has the required permissions the next step is to Delete Settings. That is a good first step whenever the program starts to misbehave.

Let me know how those things go.

    Thanks Brian

Photo Raw is included in the Files and Folders list but it is not listed in Full Disk Access.

I notice that  Files and Folders includes Photo Raw 2020 and 2021.   Neither of them is included in Full Disk Access though.  Should I disable them?  Could that be part of the problem?

Did you add Photo RAW 2022 to the Full Disk Access?

No, having the older versions of the program shown in that list will not cause any problems. If you choose to remove those programs the OS will automatically remove them from the list.

Can you post a screenshot of your Export dialog's settings? In particular I want to see the Location you are exporting to.

Have you tried the Delete Settings yet?

Haven't managed to add On One Raw to FDA.  I unlocked and went to Applications, clicked on On One 2022, then Open.  It superimposed another dialogue box with Plug Ins and a couple of other files and got stuck there. Only option was to cancel.

I also haven't Deleted Settings because I didn't yet have On1 in both F&F and FDA - thought I needed to get that right first. But I also need assistance on how to do that please.

Hope this is what you need for the Export Dialogue

The instructions are in the link I provided when I first mentioned making use of it. All you have to do is press a Shift key while the program is launching. You'll see a dialog asking if you want to Delete Settings or Reset Photo RAW 2022. I suggest reviewing the article in case you have to try the Reset option so you'll understand the consequences of using it.

Sorry Brian - I didn't get that at first.  I'm out of my depth here as you have probably noticed.  I don't want to pull my old woman card but that is what I am.  Not totally dumb but don't understand a lot of this behind the scenes stuff.

Anyway - I deleted the settings.  Checked security and added On1 to FDA.  But now On1 is greyed out in Files and Folders.

That's fine, that's how it shows up on my system too.

Are you still unable to Export your images? If so, I'm going to have to refer you to Technical Support. Click the Submit a request link at the top or bottom of this page. You might want to give them the link to this forum topic so they can see what we've gone through and hopefully they won't make you duplicate what we've already tried.

BTW, I'm 65. 😉 But I've also been doing this kind of stuff my whole life. 😎

Super cool!  I'm only 12 years older but no matter how much I learn it seems to get harder and more complicated.  Very grateful for your help Brian.

Unfortunately, I still can't export. Still comes up with volume/System/Volumes/Data and the message about not enough space.

Before I head off to Technical Support, I am wondering when I did my last software update and if it was too close to the Photo Raw 2022 upgrade?  Could that cause conflict?  If so, do you think uninstalling and re-installing Photo Raw might fix the problem?

I've just had a look at the Step by Step Guide - Pretty sure I understand that and will be able to provide the info required.  Hope whoever helps me is as patient as you.

I doubt your system update has anything to do with it. I keep mine up to date and am not having the same problem. Which OS version are you running and which model Mac?

One more thing I'd like to see is your actual disk usage. Open the Disk Utility program and expand the entry for your boot drive and take a screenshot. It should look something like this depending upon your Mac and OS versions.

    OS Monterey V12.4.

    iMac(Retina 4K, 21.5 inch, 2019). 16gb memory 2400 MHz DDR4

I have to go to my volunteer job now so won't be able to do anything until later this afternoon.

Hope this info gives you a clue.

I'd really like to see the full panel like I showed. Specifically, your Data volume. Press Control-Shift-4, place the mouse pointer over the window and press the spacebar then click the mouse and the entire window will be placed in your Clipboard where you can paste it into one of these comments boxes.

You're going to have to work this through with tech support, sorry. As I mentioned before, you might want to give them the link to this topic so they can see what we've already worked through.

Are you still with me?  I tried some other things like saving image files from sources other than Photo Raw and there was no problem - just to make sure it wasn't a computer problem.  Then I went back to Photo Raw and tried to export an image to the desktop but it came up with the message "Destination does not have enough space".  Then tried to export to Pictures again and it came up with the same message.  ie no longer volume/System/Volumes/Data.  Why would that be?

Then I tried turning off Resize and the file exported to the destination with no problem - except I had no control over the size.  Is this an encouraging clue?

Read my previous post. I can't help. You'll have to work this out with tech support.

I did read it. Ok - won't trouble you again.  Thanks for all you did.

    Great answers

Margaret, you mentioned turning off Resize and then it worked. Have you checked that you haven't made a typo in your resize settings leading to it trying to generate an impossibly large file that does actually exceed the available space?

I'm sorry if I sounded short with you Margret. It isn't any trouble.

Thanks David, I hadn't thought of that.

YES!!  That's the answer.  I was trying to resize to 5184x3888 INCHES.  No wonder I had a problem.  Thanks David.  So sorry I wasted all that time for you Brian and I don't blame you for becoming a bit impatient.  I may not have the technical background stuff but I certainly understand about sizing images - HUGE oversight on my part.

Very grateful that the problem is solved - I think I have learned a lot in the process.

    Humbly yours, Margaret

    Great answers

Glad that's sorted Margaret. You hadn't mentioned resizing until the last post which then triggered the thought that it was a simple thing that was wrong. I had been looking at other things but they didn't fit with earlier posts.

Speaking as a mere 71 year old it does keep my mind active learning about On1, Photoshop etc and looking into problems, so keep up your learning and trying new things.

Looking back over this thread, I can see that if I had made a full screen shot of the export dialogue box i.e. including the resizing part (and probably as Brian had requested) - the problem might have been identified sooner.  All part of the learning - no time to rest - even if we are getting on a bit.

I think we On1 Photo Raw users are extremely lucky to have people like you and Brian to help us sort out issues.  So - thanks again.

    Great answers

I have just submitted an idea to the Photo RAW project that Resize AI carried out sanity checking on the size of file that is going to be created and to flag a warning if the size appears to be excessive.

Great idea.  Something worthwhile may come out of the whole sorry saga.
