View picture mode stays pixelated
Hi
When I view an image in picture mode (E key or view>view mode>photo view), then more often than not I am only shown a preview res image. I can force it to load the full resolution by zooming to 1:1 pixels, or going into develop mode, but it remains "pixelated" (sometimes severely - like an blown up thumbnail) if I just view the image zoomed to full image.
This makes it less than useful for stepping through images using the arrow keys for showing to others.
Bizarrely this seems to depend on the image format. Iphone 12 HEIC or JPG format exhibit this problem, the same phone RAW files (DNG extension) do not, and load full res immediately.
I am seeing this issue with my catalogued folders. I don't seem to have the same issue when browsing - which is unexpected: I thought the whole point of catalogued folders was to speed things up.
Is this a bug, or is there a setting to stop this behaviour?
Thanks.

I see this occasionally but it clears up after viewing at 100%.
Have you tried the Refresh Preview command under the Photo menu?
I would also try the Delete Settings feature.
